Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited (BSCCL) is a public limited company emerged in July 2008. BSCCL is the prime Submarine Cable Telecommunications service provider and International Submarine Cable Operator of Bangladesh. The Company has been registered with the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms (RJSC) since June 24, 2008. It runs under the Ministry of Posts & Telecommunication, Government of Bangladesh.
BSCCL is also an International Internet Gateway (IIG) in Bangladesh. It has taken in hand operating and maintaining Bangladesh’s submarine cable linked from Cox's Bazar Landing Station. BSCCL-IIG is offering cheaper rate and high speed broadband Internet services for the users. The Head Office of BSCCL is located in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Submarine Cable Company Limited is a member of SEA-ME-WE-4 (South East Asia–Middle East–Western Europe 4) submarine cable association which comprises 16 companies of 15 countries. The Company plays significant roles as the core representative body of Bangladesh in the SMW-4 international cable consortium.
