Children's Television Foundation of Bangladesh (CTFB) became apparent on July 28, 2005, as a non-profit organization working to create interrelationships between children and media and promoting child rights issues as human rights in the Country. CTFB endeavors to create a media platform for the children where they can raise voice on their rights and ideas. For capacity building of the children in electronic media, CTFB produces entertainment and developmental television programmes which enable children to obtain enduring living skills and knowledge. The Organization takes fruitful steps for the children to have a strong participation in electronic media. Targeting children's proper development, CTFB produces and broadcasts many programmes since its initiation.
Along with UNICEF’s supports, Children’s Television Foundation of Bangladesh organizes workshops on “Basic News Production”, “News Reporting with Satellite Channel”, “Advance Training on Script Writing and Presentation” and more. These workshops are conducted under the project “Enhancing Children’s Participation in Electronic Media”. CTFB organized Children Film Festivals respectively in 2010, 2011 and 2012 with its produced News (60), Short Films (300) and Documentary Films (10) in the workshops. CTFB produced many programmes broadcasted in a number of Bangladeshi satellite channels including Boishakhy Television, ATN Bangla, Bangladesh Television (BTV), and Channel i. CTFB has received huge viewers’ feedbacks and appreciations about its produced and broadcasted programmes.
However, CTFB tries to establish a platform for the children in electronic media. The Foundation’s all endeavors are for the well-being of children. Children's Television Foundation of Bangladesh works with child rights issues, and promotes children active participation in electronic media. It is also producing and broadcasting programmes targeting children of Bangladesh.
