Institution of Diploma Engineers, Bangladesh (IDEB) is the national organization of the Diploma Engineers in Bangladesh. IDEB is representing all the Diploma Engineers who have completed their graduation from any polytechnic and technical Institution affiliated with BTEB and Engineering Colleges under the University of Dhaka or equivalent institutions. The Institution of Diploma Engineers (IDE), Bangladesh was established on November 8, 1970. It institution was established for the well-being of its members and to promote tie among the members. The institution is working as a safe guard of all the Diploma Engineers in the country. IDEB improves professional standards of its members. As of December 2012, the institution has nearly 3,00,000 members (including student).

The Diploma Engineers who have completed 4-year schooling on engineering and technology and/or have Diploma from any recognized university or education Board of Bangladesh, India, Pakistan, the UK, and USA; will be eligible to be member of IDEB. Moreover, ‘Diploma in Engineering’ students (from approved polytechnics and technical Institutes) are eligible for student membership; but they do not get voting right.
