Jatiyo Sramik Jote (JSJ) was formed on 12 October 1969 as an influential trade union hub of the trade unions in Bangladesh working for the well-being of the working people, rights of workers, rights of trade unions, and betterment of living conditions of workers. It has more than 48 (forty-eight) associated unions and over 56 (fifty-six) thousand members. JSJ has many units in different industries, offices, and workplaces. The former name of Jatiyo Sramik Jote was “Jatiyo Sramik League”. It has had a sound contribution in the Liberation War and after the Liberation of Bangladesh.
