Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB) is an organization of the travel agents of Bangladesh. ATAB was established to raise voice for the well-being of country's travel agents. The Association has been firmly working to protect travel agents' rights and ensure privileges for them. Moreover, it is also working for developing comradeship among the travel agents of Bangladesh. Its former name was "IATA Travel Agent's Association" which was chosen at the second meeting of the travel agents of Bangladesh, held on 11 December 1976. During its formation, Mr. M.A. Talib was elected as Founder-President and Mr. A.N.B. Karim as Founder-General Secretary.
The first Annual General Meeting (AGM) of this Association was held on 10 April 1978 in Bangkok. In the Second Annual General Meeting, held on June 29, 1979 at Dhaka Club, the name "IATA Travel Agent’s Association" was change to at its present name “Association of Travel Agents of Bangladesh (ATAB).” There are two types of memberships in ATAB. The rights and privileges can be varied on the basis of types of memberships. At Current, Mr. S.N. Manzur Murshed (Mahbub) is the president of Association of Travel Agent of Bangladesh, in short, "ATAB".
