Poribesh Bachao Andolon (POBA) is a voluntary social organization promoting Bangladesh’s environmental protection. POBA raises voice to protect and conserve environment of Bangladesh, and creates social consciousness about environmental issues.
Poribesh Bachao Andolon is mainly focusing on the – protection of river, heritage conservation, food safety, environment management, environmental devastation, urban biodiversity, environmental economics, environmental pollution, climate change, ecosystem management, biodiversity conservation, industrial pollution, forest and mineral resources conservation and other issues concerning to public safety and environmental protection.
In order to promote its activities, Poribesh Bachao Andolon (POBA) organizes seminars, symposia, rallies, roundtables, human-chains, meetings, hunger strikes, legal steps, sit-down strikes etc; conducts research activities; shares ideas with professionals, intellectuals, and relevant organizations having same interest etc.
