Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industries (FBCCI) is the private sector apex trade organization in Bangladesh. The Organization was established in 1973 under the Trade Organization Ordinance, 1961 and Companies Act, 1913. FBCCI has been working as safeguard for the interest of the private sector trade, and contributing immensely in consultative and advisory capacity in private sector. The Organization assists the Chambers of Commerce and Industry and Associations in arranging of Trade and Industry Fairs in several parts of Bangladesh.
Regarding all vital issues of the national economy, the organization has been playing an effective role in all Forums of the Government and Economic Development organizations. As a safeguard and protector of the interest of business community, FBCCI has to maintain intimate communication with lots of International Organizations such as, International Chambers of Commerce (ICC), Islamic Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI), Confederation of Asia-Pacific Chambers of Commerce and Industry (CACCI), SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCI) and more. At current, Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed is the President of FBCCI.
