Bangladesh Computer Samity (BCS) is a prominent association of ICT industry of Bangladesh. It was established in 1987 and registered, as the first ICT trade association of Bangladesh, with the Office of the Registrar of Joint Stock Companies and Firms, Government of Bangladesh, in 1992. Subsequently, the Organization became an 'A' category member of FBCCI in 1993. BCS started its journey with only eleven members. Currently, the Association has a total of 1262 members; the members are mainly ICT companies, ISPs, Software developers and exporters, ICT institutes, ICT based service providers etc.

Bangladesh Computer Samity is the chief voice of ICT companies in Bangladesh. It has immense contribution for the development and proper use of Information and Communications Technology (ICT) in the country. It works as a safeguard of its members as well. BCS organizes awareness campaigns, workshops, seminars, conferences, training programs, exhibitions etc that all are related to ICT.

In 2001, BCS became a full associate member in the Asian-Oceanian Computing Industry Organization (ASOCIO). Bangladesh Computer Samity is the only member from the country which represents Bangladesh private sector ICT industry in the international forum of World Information Technology and Services Alliance (WITSA).

The Association is run by an executive committee comprises of seven members, elected for two years. Apart from main head-quarter in Dhaka, it also has branches in Khulna, Sylhet, Jessore, Mymensingh, Rajshahi, Comilla, Barisal, and Chittagong.
