The Daily Observer (Reg. No. DA 6132) started its journey from 1st February 2011 from Dhaka, Bangladesh holding the slogan "We stand for people's rights". It is a national newspaper in Bangladesh; publishes in English language. The Daily Observer was founded by Mr. Iqbal Sobhan Chowdhury, a Bangladeshi senior journalist; the former media advisor of present Prime Minister of Bangladesh; the Chairman of News Channel, DBC News; and also a member of Bangladesh Press Council. Presently, Mr. Sobhan is the Editor of the Daily Observer newspaper. Generally, the newspaper publishes in 16 pages and price TK 10.
The Daily Observer's former name was Bangladesh Observer; one of the oldest newspapers in the county came to light in 1949, which stopped in 2010 after 61 years of its publication. The newspaper was born again by the initiative of Mr. Iqbal Sobhan. Presently, this english daily is published by the Editor on behalf of the Observer Limited from Globe Printers, New Eskaton Road, Ramna, Dhaka.
