Karnaphuli Fertilizer Company Limited (KAFCO) is completely export oriented fertilizer producer company in Bangladesh. The company is mostly known with the acronym ‘KAFCO’. The KAFCO plant is located just alongside the Karnaphuli River (at Rangadia in Anowara, Chittagong). The plant of this company lies on 55 acres of land. Its corporate office is situated in Dhaka, Bangladesh.
Karnaphuli Fertilizer Company was founded in January 1993. The company is a joint venture of Bangladesh, Japan, Netherlands and Denmark. It accredited as the largest joint venture investment in the country.
KAFCO mostly produces and markets two high-grade products – granular Urea and anhydrous Ammonia. Its produced products have been exported to many countries around the world.
The company employs 600+ people in its various units & offices. Karnaphuli Fertilizer Company Ltd provides all the high standard facilities (like housing, school, medical, recreational facilities etc.) for its employees.
