Prime Group of Industries is one of the oldest and largest industrial conglomerates in Bangladesh. Late Alhaj M. A. Mannan is the insightful man under whose initiative the Group was founded in 1932. He is succeeded in his mission. Since the Group’s initiation, it has been growing bit by bit covering the following areas – Textile, Steel, Ship Breaking, Engineering, Real State, Agribusiness, Banking & Insurance, Financial & Securities, IT, Education, and other Trade & Service.
Having more than 32 companies in diversified sectors, today, Prime Group of Industries has become a large business house in Bangladesh. Prime Group’s first venture is ‘Doleswar Iron & Works’ founded in 1932. The Group’s present Chairman & Managing Director is M. A. Awal, son of Alhaj Abdul Mannan, and a renowned business entrepreneur. Prime Group is a member of FBCCI, DCCI, ICCB, MCCI, BAPLC, and Bangladesh Textile Mills Association (BTMA). Prime received “National Gold Export Trophy” simultaneously for the year 1996-97, and 2001-2002 for its excellent export performance.
