Founded in February 2002, Society for Promotion of Bangladesh Art (SPBA) is an organization promoting Bangladesh Art to the international arena. Every year the Society organizes exhibitions and workshops for the young artists, art student, and children's art. SPBA has sponsored a number of exhibitions of Bangladeshi artist held in different countries such as India, Japan, France, Pakistan, Poland, Italy, and Germany. The Society’s half of the resources are portion out for the development of newly born artist who have lack of opportunity to promote their art works. The Website of this Organization keeps Bangladeshi artists’ information and their art works.
Society for Promotion of Bangladesh Art also publishes art books. Its one of the renowned books is 'BANGLADESH ART: Collection of Contemporary Paintings' , sponsored by the Royal Norwegian Government. The book included over sixty (60) artists’ art works which is first in its kind in Bangladesh. SPBA is run by a Board of Governors named as - Anjan Chowdhury, Elthem B. Kabir, Mehbood Chewdhury, Syed Nasim Manzur, Syed Fahim Munaim, Shahab Sattar, and Anis A. Khan.
