The Community Based Medical College Bangladesh (CBMCB) is a private medical institution situated at Winnerpar in Mymensingh. CBMCB is an outcome of a project of Community Health Foundation Bangladesh (CHFB). The College was established in 1995. The honorable physician Late Prof. Dr. AIM Mafakhkharul Islam had immensely contributed to establish the College. He was also the Founder Principal and Executive President of CBMCB & CHFB.
The Community Based Medical College Bangladesh (CBMCB) offers five-year MBBS course under the Faculty of Medicine, University of Dhaka. It follows the curriculum which is approved by the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council (BM&DC) which also contains one-year obligatory internship in attached hospital. The College is recognized by the Bangladesh College of Physicians & Surgeons (BCPS), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare of the Government of Bangladesh, BM&DC, and many other national and international organizations.
CBMCB has following Major departments: Anatomy, Anesthesiology, Biochemistry, Cardiology, Community Medicine, Dermatology and Venereology, Dental, Hospital Outdoor Pathology, Microbiology, Medicine, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Pediatrics, Pharmacology, Physiology, Pathology, Physiotherapy, Radiology and Imaging, Surgery, and Transfusion Medicine.
