Bangladesh Association of North Texas (BANT) is a non-profit Bangladeshi community organization incorporated in the state of Texas, USA. BANT was founded in 1987 and came into operation in following year. As a Bangladeshi community association, it promotes & cherishes Bangladeshi culture and heritage; creates fellowship & unity among Bangladeshis residing in North Texas; provides supports to the North Texas community; and creates ties between Bangladeshi community and several ethnic groups living in the USA. Bangladesh Association of North Texas is a common platform for all the Bangladeshis living in North Texas, USA. The Association also extends helping hands for welfare of Bangladeshi community.
BANT observes National Important Days, and organizes cultural events like – Baishakhi Mela, Nazrul (Shommelon) Conference, Ekushe February, etc. Membership of the Association is open for all persons without regard to nationality, religion, race, or place of residence. But Members must abide by BANT Constitution’s article/laws/rules and pay membership dues. Members will get privileges for right to vote. The activities and affairs of the Association are managed by an Executive Committee.
