The Bengali Cultural Society (BCS) was founded in 1978 as a not-for-profit organization under the Section 501(a) of the IRS Code Section 501(c) (3) to promote and cherish Bengali cultural, religious, charitable, and educational activities in Southern New Jersey, USA. It provides a forum where various organizations are come together to share their ideas and views having similar interest. Along with various social, cultural, religious, and educational programs; every year it also celebrates Durga Puja and Saraswati Puja. As a part of educational responsibility, it has been conducting Verbal and Math Enrichment tutorial classes for high school students drawn from the community. Bengali Cultural Society publishes a magazine titled as 'Sanskriti'. Besides, it established a Bengali Language School to promote Bengali Language among the people residing in New Jersey.
