Bangladesh National Women Lawyers' Association (BNWLA) was established in 1979. It is a leading women lawyers' organization in Bangladesh. BNWLA is working to protect and ensure women & children human rights and to establish social justice. In this regard, BNWLA provides legal assistance especially to vulnerable women and children in Bangladesh. The organization is also working with following issues - gender equality, stop child abuse, stop child marriage, and violence against women and girls.
Presently, Bangladesh National Women Lawyers Association's activities spread in more than 30 districts which gradually increasing. BNWLA is run by an Executive Committee, elected for two years, headed by a President. At present, Advocate Salma Ali is the President of Bangladesh National Woman Lawyers' Association.
