Bangladesh Shishu Adhikar Forum (BSAF) is a leading non-profit and non-partisan NGO (non-government organization) established in 1991 working for every aspect of child rights in Bangladesh. BSAF is registered under the Foreign Donation (Voluntary Activities) Regulation Ordinance, 1978 (amended in 1982) from NGO Affairs Bureau, Government of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh.
During its initiation, there were only eighteen (18) Member NGOs (MNGOs) in this forum which now rise to 262. Its member NGOs is now working for disadvantaged children in 59 districts of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Shishu Adhikar Forum assists its MNGOs to achieve its common goals, and also works with other relevant government organizations, national and international organizations, UN agencies etc mainly to promote and protect the rights of children in Bangladesh.
BSAF’s ultimate goal is to promote the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child in Bangladesh. Any Bangladeshi NGO working for children can be a member of General Body of Bangladesh Shishu Adhikar Forum (BSAF).
