Volunteer for Bangladesh (VBD) is a youth organization and a wing of JAAGO Foundation founded on May 2, 2011 in Dhaka. With support from U.S. Embassy, Dhaka, the Organization has established 21 Volunteer Action Groups throughout Bangladesh.
The aims of Volunteer for Bangladesh are to eradicate poverty and hunger, protect children’s rights, improve health and nutrition, ensure environmental sustainability, achieve universal access to education, encourage community development, ensure environmental sustainability, and promote gender equality and women’s empowerment.
The Organization’s activities now reach outside the Country. It is now operating online Volunteer branches in Canada, UK, USA, and Australia; where VBD has more than 12,000 registered volunteers working together to carry out a positive changes in the lives of mass people of the Country.
