Bangladesh Sericulture Research and Training Institute (BSRTI) is an autonomous body under the Ministry of Textile and Jute, Government of Bangladesh. BSRTI is situated in Rajshahi, Bangladesh. The Institute was established in 1962. BSRTI is the only national research and training institute in the country which is conducting research and providing training on sericulture in Bangladesh. Since 2013, the Institute has been functioning under Bangladesh Sericulture Development Board. It is offering Post Graduate Diploma in Sericulture in affiliation with the University of Rajshahi.
Bangladesh Sericulture Research and Training Institute (BSRTI) is a member of National Agricultural Research System (NARS) situated at Farmgate in Dhaka, Bangladesh. In 1993, BSRTI was awarded Begum Jaibunnesha and Kazi Mahabubullah Gold Medal Award. The Institute is also recognized by Business Initiative Direction (BID), Madrid, Spain for its "Commitment to Quality, Leadership, Technology and Innovation". At present, there are 125 workforces at BSRTI of whom forty-one (41) are scientists.
