Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed, Bangladesh, better known as CRP-Bangladesh, is the only organization of its kind in Bangladesh providing rehabilitation (Physical rehabilitation, Psychological rehabilitation, Economic rehabilitation etc.) services in the Country. CRP-Bangladesh was founded in 1979 by a small group of Bangladeshis and a British physiotherapist, Valerie Taylor, who came in Bangladesh (then known as East Pakistan) in 1969 as a volunteer physiotherapist. Centre for the Rehabilitation of the Paralysed (CRP) works covering several areas of development such as poverty alleviation, human rights, health care provision and education. The head-quarter of CRP-Bangladesh is situated in Savar, Dhaka. It has three functioning sub-centers in Gonokbari, Gobindapur, and Mirpur.
