Faridpur Diabetic Association (FDA) is a non-profit, non-political Voluntary Socio-Medical Organization in Faridpur, a district of Dhaka Division of Bangladesh. It was established on 25 November 1983 by the Late Dr. Mohammad Zahed, a local dedicated social worker, with a group of dedicated social workers, physicians, Professors Voluntaries and philanthropists. FDA’s ultimate object is to save Bangladeshi people, especially southeast region of the country, from Diabetes mellitus. Since its inception, the Organization has been exceedingly contributing in various medical related issues. Faridpur Diabetic Association is an affiliate member of Diabetic Association of Bangladesh. The Association also achieved full membership from International Diabetes Federation (IDF). Currently, FDA has 10 patrons and 503 life-long members.
