The Institute was established in 1955 on twenty-acre of land by the East Pakistan (now Bangladesh) government. To take admission in this Institute, one must pass the S.S.C. or equivalent with at least an average CGPA 3.00 and GPA 3.00 (minimum) in mathematics.
