Established in 1984, Bangladesh Protibondhi Foundation (BPF) is a non-profit and non-government humanitarian organization dedicated to ensure equal rights, opportunity and participation for disabled children and persons so that they become independent, self-reliant and contribute the society. Prof. Sultana Zaman is the Founder of BPF. Since 1984, the Foundation has been registered, with NGO Affairs Bureau, and under Voluntary Social Welfare Agencies (Registration and control) Ordinance 1961 of the Peoples’ Republic of Bangladesh.
Bangladesh Protibondhi Foundation fights for equal rights, opportunity and dignity for disabilities and impoverished Children. The Organization tries its best to fulfill disabled & marginalized children’s needs through various initiatives. Its services and programs related to health, nutrition, education, economic empowerment, social, rehabilitation, etc are currently available in six rural areas such as – Savar, Dhamrai, Faridpur, Kishoregonj, Norshindi, and Barisal – and in three urban centers located at Mirpur and Malibagh of Dhaka city, Bangladesh.
At present, Prof. Sultana S. Zaman is designated as Chairperson, and Prof. Naila Zaman Khan is the General Secretary of the Board of Trustees of BPF.
