Shishu Niloy Foundation (SNF) was established in 1985 as a non-government social welfare organization in Bangladesh working mainly in southern part of the country for poverty-stricken people, illiterate children, adequate nourishment of people, and human right issues. SNF’s Head Office is located in Jessore, Bangladesh. Its main working areas are - Jessore, Chuadanga, Jhenaidah, and Magura.
In order to eliminate poverty, Shishu Niloy Foundation (SNF) offers microfinance chiefly to the women entrepreneurs. It also works with human rights, women rights, and citizen rights issues. Moreover, the Foundation installs solar and biogas plants for poor communities to cease energy crises. Furthermore, it offers training on different fields and issues aiming to capacity building and human development in the southern region of Bangladesh.
SNF promotes its activities collaboration with many Government and non-government organizations (NGOs) having same objects. It has nineteen (19) branch offices in southern part of Bangladesh. Its total number of beneficiaries is more than 50,320 of whom major beneficiaries are female. Shishu Niloy Foundation is managed by – a General Body (GB), an Executive Committee (EC), and a Program Management Team (PMT).
