National Heart Foundation Hospital, Sylhet (NHFHS) is a 100-bedded cardiac hospital mainly working for heart disease patient chiefly in grater Sylhet region. The hospital is an initiative of National Heart Foundation Sylhet which is situated at Tilagor Road, East Shahi Eidgah, Sylhet. National Heart Foundation Hospital Sylhet was founded in 1982 by a group of worthy sons of Sylhet region leaded by Prof Dr. M A Raquib, the Founder President of the hospital.
Today, NHFHS is a full-pledged cardiac hospital which provides wholehearted services for cardiac patients including Angiogram, Angioplasty, Open Heart Surgery, and more. The hospital possessed Cardiac Lab, Cardiac Surgery, Diagnostic Laboratory, Radiology & Imaging, CCU, PCCU, Hybrid Cardiac OT, and so on.
National Heart Foundation and Hospital, Sylhet has affiliation with National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh. Presently, NHFHS is run by an Executive Committee elected for three years; the Executive Committee's President is Mr. Prof M Enayet Ullah, MRCP (UK), and General Secretary is Mr. Prof. Dr. Md. Aminur Rahman Laskar. Colonel (Rtd.) Dr. Shah Abidur Rahman is the CEO of National Heart Foundation Hospital Sylhet.
