University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh (ULAB) is a leading University Grants Commission (UGC) approved private liberal arts university in Bangladesh. The University was founded in February 2002, and got permission from UGC of Bangladesh for opening the ULAB in November 2003. Subsequently, the university formally launched on October 1, 2004. The founder of ULAB is Kazi Shahid Ahmed. The Motto of ULAB is "A New Vision In Higher Education". This university practices two core values - Liberal Arts & Sustainable Development. The first convocation of University of Liberal Arts Bangladesh was held on July 20, 2010 and the 2nd convocation was held on November 18, 2012.
ULAB offers following programs for undergraduate :
- Bachelor of Business Administration
- Bachelor of Arts in English and Humanities
- Bachelor of Social Science in Media Studies and Journalism
- Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering
- Bachelor of Science in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering
ULAB also offers the following programs for graduate :
- Master of Business Administration (MBA)
- Executive Master of Business Administration (EMBA)
- Masters in Communication (MComm)
ULAB also has one Non-Degree Granting – “General Education Department (GED)” runs as foundation courses to fulfill the Liberal Arts Curriculum at the University.
