BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology (BUFT) is a renowned university in Bangladesh established by the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) chiefly to produce skillful human resources for the RMG sector of Bangladesh. BUFT came into existence in 1999, and started its function in 2000. It has affiliation with the National University of Bangladesh. The University offers 2-year MBA course, 4-year B.Sc. (Hon’s) courses, Diploma courses, Certificate Courses, and other short term courses.

BGMEA University of Fashion and Technology has collaboration with many international organizations such as European Union (EU), UNIDO, GTZ, SEDF, and American & Efird (“A&E”). Moreover, BUFT also has collaboration with London College of Fashion (LCF), National Institute of Fashion & Technology (NIFT), India; University of Arts, London, UK; Niederrhein University, Germany; and Liberec University, Czech Republic.
