Bangladesh Employers' Federation (BEF) is a leading organization of the employers of Bangladesh representing all the private sectors, trade, industry, banking, insurance, etc. BEF was founded in 1998, and is the only organization of its kind in the Country. It is the only government recognized representative organization of employers. Currently, Bangladesh Employers' Federation represents all the major industrial associations in private sector of Bangladesh. The Federation provides guidance, assistance and other services to its members, and deals with Labour related issues. Bangladesh Employers Federation has active participation and representation both in the national and international levels concerning to Labour-management relations.
The Federation is represented on various bodies in national level including Governing Bodies of the Bangladesh Institute of Management (BIM), National Tripartite Consultative Committee on Labour Matters, Minimum Wage Board, Industrial Relations Institute, Labour Courts, etc.
It participates in various activities like conferences, seminars, symposiums etc organized by International Labour Organisation (ILO) and International Organization of Employers (IOE) as a representative body of the employers of Bangladesh. Bangladesh Employers' Federation (BEF) is a member of the International Organization of Employers (IOE). Bangladesh Employers' Federation (BEF) is run by an Executive Committee consists of 19 members, headed by a President.
