Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS) is the only health related private university in Bangladesh. The University started its journey in 2012. BUHS was founded by the initiative of Diabetic Association of Bangladesh (BADAS). Eminent academician, scientist, sociocultural activist, and Founder Director of Bangladesh Institute of Health Sciences (BIHS); Prof Liaquat Ali is the Vice Chancellor of Bangladesh University of Health Sciences (BUHS). The university has collaboration with large chain of national and international hospitals & health center, universities, foundations, organizations, etc. BUHS is located at Darus Salam, Mirpur-1, Dhaka, Bangladesh. Currently, apart from local students, many foreign students from India, Nepal and Pakistan are studying in the postgraduate programs of this university.
