RAJUK Uttara Model College (RUMC) is one of the best colleges in Bangladesh located in Uttara, Dhaka; providing education to the students from Class VI-XII both in Bangla and English medium under the national curriculum.
RUMC was established in 1994 with an immense contribution of Rajdhani Unnayan Kartripakkha (RAJUK). RAJUK gave the required land to establish the school in Uttara. Its school section launched on January 01, 1994 and subsequently the college section was formally opened on July 01, 1994. RAJUK Uttara Model College is governed by an autonomous board of governors headed by the Secretary, Ministry of Education of the Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh.
The Institution admits students in class six, nine and eleven through an admission test and a viva-voce (oral examination). In order to meet the demand of huge students, RUMC introduced two Shifts - Morning Shift (7:45 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.) & Day Shift (12:45 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.). The Institution has been done the best performance, with 100% success, in all level of competitive exams, held in the Country, such as JSC, SSC, and HSC. The motto of RAJUK Uttara Model College is “Education for Humanization”.
