Small Farmer Development Foundation (SFDF), a Bangladesh's Government organization, begun its journey from the year 1975 through a project namely "Small Farmer and Landless Workers Development Project" started in Comilla, Bogra and Mymensingh districts. The projects launched several times in Bangladesh. Due to its fruitful result, the project converted into an institutional framework namely Small Farmer Development Foundation (SFDF). The foundation is run under the Ministry of Local Government, Rural Development and Co-operatives. Mr. A.H.M. Abdullah is the Managing Director of Small Farmers Development Foundation (SFDF).
Small Farmers Development Foundation (SFDF) is mainly providing micro loans to small farmers without collateral/securities. Since its inception, the organization is contributing for the development of small farmers and disadvantage people of Bangladesh.
