East West University (EWU) was established in 1996 as a Govt. & UGC of Bangladesh approved private university located in Dhaka, Bangladesh. East West University is a marvel project of Progoti Foundation for Education and Development (PFED). EWU is one of the top private universities in Bangladesh. Dr. Mohammed Farashuddin was its Founder Vice Chancellor. The university’s present Vice-Chancellor is Dr. M. M. Shahidul Hassan.
EWU has its own beautiful campus at Aftabnagar, Dhaka. The university has highly qualified faculty and distributed around 5.00 crore takas in 2014-15 as financial aid. Students of EWU are covered by group insurance.
East West University of Dhaka, Bangladesh, started its journey with only six (6) faculty members and twenty (20) students. Today its faculty members lifted over 281 and students 8000+. The university “Aim for the Best by Applying to East West”. Its motto is "Excellence in Education". Till now, East West University organized fourteen convocations; the 14th convocation held on Thursday, 19 March 2015 at its own campus Aftabnagar, Dhaka.
