German University Bangladesh (GUB) is a newly opened private university in Bangladesh. The University is approved by Government of Bangladesh & UGC. GUB starts its formal journey in 2015. The University is an initiative of German University Bangladesh Trust (GUBT), and Initiative German University Bangladesh e.V. (IGUB).

German University Bangladesh’s present campus is situated at Telepara, Gazipur. Its permanent campus is going to be built at Ghatail in Tangail, a district in Dhaka division, on two and a half Hector Land. The motto of GUB is "Noble Way to Build a Better Future". It has affiliation with a number of leading German Universities. The current Vice Chancellor of GUB is Prof. Dr.sc. Dr. h.c. mult. Michael Boehme, former Head of the Department of Horticultural Plant Systems, Humboldt University of Berlin, Germany.

At present, GUB has the:
* Faculty of Basic Sciences
* Faculty of Engineering Sciences
* Faculty of Health Sciences
* Faculty of Social Sciences

* Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA)
* BSS Hon's in Public Administration
* BSS Hon's in Sociology
* Accounting Information Systems (AIS)
* BA Hon's in English
* Economics

* Food Science & Technology

* Human Health

Admission Requirement:
* Minimum GPA 3.00 both in SSC/HSC degree
* Minimum GPA 2.50 in 'O' levels in 5-Subject, and 'A' levels in 2-Subject and total GPA 6.0
