Established in 1966, the Sylhet Chamber of Commerce & Industry (SCCI) is a non-profit trade organization particularly representing the trade and commerce of Sylhet. As a leading trade organization of Sylhet, SCCI includes the persons, companies, firms and corporate bodies, as its member, engaged in trade, commerce and industry in Bangladesh, chiefly in the Sylhet district of Bangladesh.

Sylhet Chamber of Commerce & Industry offers four types of memberships – Ordinary, Associate, Town Association and Trade Group. The Chamber is run by a Board comprising of one President, one senior vice-president, one vice-president and 21 directors.

SCCI takes initiatives to protect its members’ interest, and puts forward suggestions and recommendations to the Govt. in formulating policy concerning to business community. Apparently, Sylhet Chamber of Commerce & Industry is the prime organization of business community of Sylhet working as a safeguard of its members and creates bridge among its members and other institutions, organizations and bodies having similar interest. SCCI is the key voice of Sylhet business community.
